The RIO Outbound Striped Bass Line was sent from heaven above, or you will think it was. With a little celestial guidance, RIO has created the OutBound Integrated Shooting Taper. With this line the average freshwater or saltwater caster can launch casts far, far away to the previously unreachable. Designed to load high performance rods quickly with few false casts because the 37.5 ft head is heavier than the AFTMA standards. The supple coldwater Powerflex core and coating, combined with a taper design unique to each model, plus a thin tangle-free running line, ensure the longest flight time for unearthly casts. RIO's Custom-cut OutBound lines will certainly excite anglers everywhere that need distance and depth. These lines have a 35ft long level head followed by an ultra-thin intermediate running line that ensures the longest flight time for ultimate distance. Anglers simply cut the head to the length and weight for their casting style and rod action.

"Scientific Anglers new Sharkskin fly line does put a dent in the wallet but it is well worth it. We started using this line in earnest this January for winter steelhead. Fishing the Umpqua I had ice in my guides yet the line remained perfectly straight, and lacked the memory of other lines. Another great feature of this line is the way it facilitates feeding line out of the rod. Because of a micro-replicated surface, it feeds out of the guides with greater ease than any line I have ever used. When fishing down stream dry flies or nymphs, "micro drag" is eliminated if you can feed your line smoothly, the Sharkskin excels at the downstream feed tactic.
